It was
in the year 1987, a visionary, Dr K G Alexander, had
a dream and a vision- to make quality healthcare affordable
and accessible to all. He also nurtured a mission- to
meet the ever growing healthcare needs of the region.
And thus was born Baby Memorial Hospital ( BMH) which
revolutionized the very concept of healthcare in Kerala.
BMH is a tribute to Late. K.C. Varghese (lovingly called
'Baby' by all), father of Dr. K.G. Alexander, Chairman
and Chief Physician.
What started as a 52 bed hospital ,today ,is the unrivalled
and unparalleled leader in healthcare with 480 beds,
over 35 Medical and Surgical departments, excellent
paramedical support system,14 world class operation
theatres and 10 fully equipped ICU’s and a 24
hours Accident and Trauma care unit. A team of 150 doctors
and over 1000 medical, nursing, paramedical and administrative
staff work seamlessly and untiringly keeping up the
ideology of BMH – “Committed to Care”.
