It was in
the year 1987, a visionary, Dr K G Alexander, had a
dream and a vision- to make quality healthcare affordable
and accessible to all. He also nurtured a mission- to

And thus was born Baby Memorial Hospital ( BMH) which

BMH is a tribute to Late. K.C. Varghese (lovingly called
'Baby' by all), father of Dr. K.G. Alexander, Chairman
and Chief Physician.
What started as a 52 bed hospital ,today ,is the unrivalled
and unparalleled leader in healthcare with 480 beds,
over 35 Medical and Surgical departments, excellent
paramedical support system,14 world class operation
theatres and 10 fully equipped ICU’s and a 24
hours Accident and Trauma care unit. A team of 150 doctors
and over 1000 medical, nursing, paramedical and administrative
staff work seamlessly and untiringly keeping up the

Baby Memorial School of Nursing and
the College of Nursing were established in 1995 and
2002 respectively. Both the institutions are recognized
by the Indian and Kerala Nursing councils. The excellent
faculty, facilities and infrastructure offered makes
these institutions much sought after in South India.
BMH is recognized by The National Board of Examinations
for DNB courses in Anesthesiology, General Medicine,
Obstetrics and Gynecology, Orthopedics, Neurology, Pediatrics,
Plastic and Micro vascular surgery and Urology.
Baby Memorial Hospital was again the
