Baby
Memorial Hospital, Kozhikode, established in the year
1987, is a 480 bedded Super Specialty Tertiary- care
referral hospital, with a galaxy of distinguished consultants
in all specialties and provide service with ultra modern
operation theaters and other sophisticated equipments.
This hospital is the first in South India to be certified
for ISO 9001: 2008 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001:
2004 (Environmental Management), also Accredited by
National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare
Providers. As a part of continuing effort to be at par
with global standards,construction is nearing completion
for the New Hospital Annexe with an additional strength
of 320 beds which will house the State - of- the - Art
departments of Oncology, Cardio Thoracic and Neurosciences.
With total commitment to patient care
at the behest of the hospital, the Baby Memorial College
of Nursing was stared in the year 2002 and the first
Two batches of B.Sc students have successfully completed
their course. The College is affiliated to University
of Calicut, and the same is recognized by Kerala Nurses'
and Midwives' Council and the Indian Nursing Council,New
Delhi. It is located quite neighbourhood and near to
the Hospital . The college has its own dedicated six
storied building with adequate infrastructural facilities
for academic as well as residential purpose. College
has fully equipped laboratories and library with adequate
books and internet facility. The location and environment
has been carefully chosen to provide the students the
best ambience to pursue their studies.
The MSc Nursing Programme at Baby Memorial
College of Nursing is designed to meet the continuing
educational needs of nursing professionals to equip
themselves as Academicians, Administrators, Researchers,
in the sphere of their specialization, such as Medical
Surgical Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing,
Paediatric Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing and Community
Health Nursing. This course aims to provide an opportunity
to students to empower themselves to generate evidences
that will improve Nursing Education. |
