We have, in our next CME program, decided to focus on the most elegant of all surgical arts, micro ear surgery.

Three things are required for a proper live surgery workshop- brilliant optics, established techniques and lively discussion. We have decided to incorporate all these into our live surgery sessions to provide all of you a very refreshing look at the basic concepts of micro ear surgery. Tried and trusted skills would be demonstrated in detail using our new acquisition, the Carl Zeiss Vario Microscope, the most advanced ENT surgical microscope in the world.

We are planning to demonstrate in the state of the art Operation theatre techniques like Cochlear implants, Minimally Invasive Stapedotomy, Canalplasty and Full TM reconstruction techniques, Posterior Tympanotomy for retraction pockets and Ossiculoplasty, these being what ENT surgeons face 95% of the time. While the focus of the workshop is on young budding ENT surgeons and post graduates, it would be the participation of senior ENT surgeons which would make this special by sharing their rich experience.
