Editorial Board

BMH Medical Journal has an editorial board consisting of Editor-in-Chief, two associate editors, three section editors, national and international editorial advisory board. International editorial advisory board has 6 esteemed members from four countries. Editorial advisory board has 12 members from three institutions. All of them are experts in their respective fields.

Authors and Authors responsibilities

BMH Medical Journal is unique among open access journals in that it does not charge authors any manuscript processing or other charges. Journal website is sponsored by the institution. All authors are given an opportunity to participate in the peer review process.

All authors should have significantly contributed to the research and they are obliged to provide retractions or corrections of mistakes. Articles should contain list of references and financial support whenever relevant. Authors are forbidden to publish same research in more than one journal as we strongly discourage duplicate publications.

Peer-review process

All the journal articles undergo peer-review. Research article receive a more strict peer review than other articles. Reviewers are required to declare any conflict of interest if present and refrain from reviewing articles in which they have conflict of interest. Reviewers should help the editors by pointing out any relevant important published work which has not been cited. Peer-reviewed manuscript should be treated confidentially and their judgment should be objective, without any personal bias.

Publication ethics

Utmost care is taken to identify and prevent publication of papers with research misconduct. In case a published article is found to have such an instance at a later date, the article will be retracted. The concerned author will be given an opportunity for rebuttal before retraction. Corrections, clarifications and apologies will be published whenever required.

Copyright and Access

Journal has an open access policy CC BY for maximum dissemination and use. Credit should be given for the original work by appropriate citation. Full text of the journal is freely available at the journal website.

Archiving

Journal content is fully archived in the journal server, which is part of the institutional website. We are in touch with a major permanent archiving platform for external archiving.

BMH Medical Journal is owned by Baby Memorial Hospital, Ltd., Indira Gandhi Road, Kozhikode, Kerala, India. Baby Memorial Hospital is a well known corporate hospital in the region accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers, providing tertiary medical care as well as post graduate medical education accredited by National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, India.

BMH Medical Journal publishes regular quarterly issues on the first day of every quarter.

Name of journal

BMH Medical Journal is the official publication of the Baby Memorial Hospital. Though the journal was initiated as a medium of publication for the residents and faculty of the institution, it is now open for submissions world wide. We already have global readership from over fifty countries and authorship from three continents.
