Falls In The Elderly: A Cardiologists Perspective

Abstract

Falls are common in the elderly. A Fall is defined as a person coming to rest on the ground or another lower level. The “Elderly†has been defined as those above the age of 65, whereas the United Nations has defined age above 60 as “Older Population†or “Old Ageâ€.
